We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented and proactive Goods-In Operator to join our team. In this crucial role, you will play an integral part in the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will span across warehouse organisation, porter duties, receiving and dispatch. You will need to maintain a keen eye for detail, demonstrate good organisational skills, and possess a willingness to adapt and learn new skills. Duties & Responsibilities:
A current and valid Forklift Operation licence is mandatory (high reach & counterbalance)
Perform porterage tasks as assigned by the Stock Controller / FM
Provide Mailroom service delivery, sortation, managing a franking machine, delivery of mail to designated points in the building.
Promote excellent customer service, and deal with enquiries from the client, both face to face, via email and on the telephone.
Arrange deliveries in and out of the building for various departments
Liaise with the logistics team and relevant departments to arrange deliveries and dispatches as per our internal systems and courier-specific portals
Follow Health and Safety requirements and actively encourage peers to follow processes, including Forklift maintenance checks
Be responsible for the correct storage of components and deliveries
Liaise with external couriers to ensure shipments leave on time and follow the process
Warehouse cleanliness - General organisation and tidying
Plus, any other duties as required by the SPS Client Services Manager or Client.
Manual handling of items up to 25kg may be required.
Candidate Skills:
Possess a current and valid Forklift Operation licence (high reach & counterbalance)
Good communication and organisational skills
Good computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
Knowledge of UK & International mailing and courier arrangements is desirable
Ability to multitask, think independently, and problem solve
Take responsibility for your own work training that the business provides you with
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
