Goods In Operative

for a leading supplier of tools and equipment. The company specialise in distributing high-quality products to customers across the UK and Ireland. Their success is built on efficient logistics, excellent customer service, and a strong stock management process. They are looking for a Goods In Operative to support their growing operations by ensuring smooth handling of all incoming and outgoing stock.

Responsibilities:

As a Goods In Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring that the products are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. You will be responsible for stock control, handling deliveries, and supporting order fulfilment to maintain seamless distribution to customers across the UK and Ireland. Duties will include:

Receiving & Stock Control

Unloading deliveries safely using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck Checking and receipting incoming stock into the inventory system Ensuring goods are stored correctly, labelled, and organised Performing stock counts and reporting shortages or discrepancies Maintaining accurate stock levels using the in-house systems

Operational Support & Housekeeping

Ensuring the warehouse is well-organised and maintained Maintaining health & safety standards in all warehouse operations Working towards team KPIs for stock accuracy and process efficiency

Essential experience:

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or goods-in role A full, clean driving licence is essential A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is required Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate stock records Proficient in using computerised stock management systems Physically fit to handle lifting and manual stock movements A reliable and proactive team player with a strong work ethic
