Job Summary

Barnshaws Bending Centre Ltd is seeking a dependable Goods In/Out Operative to support the smooth movement of materials across our busy manufacturing site. This role involves operating forklifts and overhead cranes, handling steel products, and ensuring accurate stock flow.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check, and record all incoming materials

Prepare, pack, and load outgoing orders

Safely operate forklifts for loading/unloading

Use overhead cranes to move steel and heavy items

Maintain accurate stock movement and documentation

Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly

Support production teams with material handling

Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with H&S procedures

Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Skills & Experience

Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or similar)

Experience with overhead cranes (training can be provided)

Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and proactive

Hours of Work

Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30

Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

Overtime: Available when required
