About the role:
You will be working as part of a key team within the depot, where you will take ownership to ensure the process of accepting deliveries is effective and efficient, whilst providing great customer service in everything you do. This role is responsible for the movement of goods through the department and will ensure an effective and efficient service is provided by the goods-in team. A keen eye for detail and a methodical and hands-on approach is vital. The ideal candidate will need a forklift truck licence.
What will you be doing as a Goods In Runner?
Receiving, moving, checking, and storing incoming goods
Matching up deliveries from the goods received note to the relevant purchase order
Proactively liaising with the shop floor supervisors to ensure space for deliveries
Reporting any discrepancies
Prepare and complete orders for transfer or delivery
Keep a clean and safe working environment
What do you need to be a Goods In Runner?
Able to work in a high-volume role
Highly accurate and have excellent attention to detail in your work
Able to work well in a team
Able to work quickly and to deadlines
Have a forklift truck licence (or willing to perform the required training to obtain)
What's on offer?
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday: 08:00am - 17:00pm
Rate of pay: 12.24 - 12.58 (FLT uplift if applicable)
