Job Description

The Goods In Team Leader will oversee daily activities and manage a team of operatives, to ensure that production goals are met in a safe but timely and efficient manner.

This role involves coordinating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of production flow, maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity. The Team Leader will coach and mentor the team, encouraging collaboration and ideas sharing to continually improve and develop both team and process.

Main Responsibilities:



Leadership



Team Management - Directing and overseeing the daily activities of your department's employees, ensuring safe, efficient and productive operations. Planning - Developing and implanting initiatives to optimise departments processes, improve workflow and achieve operational goals. Safety - Prioritising and enforcing safety protocols to create a secure working environment, minimising accidents and ensuring compliance with regulations. Coach and mentor your teams to develop competence and capability required to support our goals both now and in the future. Provide clear and visible leadership to drive good process control and high standards within operations and drive continuous improvement via embedded lean principles. Ensure the mechanisms are in place and successful to drive best practice

General & Task Management



Staff Scheduling - Developing and managing staff schedules to meet operational demands and maintain department productivity. Documentation - Ensuring accurate record keeping of team production process transactions and other relevant documentation. Quality Assurance - Implementing measures to maintain product quality standards throughout production. Order Fulfilment - Managing the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, ensuring OTIF monitoring compliance. Inventory Control - Overseeing accurate tracking of inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising discrepancies. Quality - Ensure our products are handled, packaged and transported to achieve highest customer satisfaction.

Health & Safety



Ensure departmental risk assessments are up to date and in-line with risk assessment schedule. Act as a role model ensuring safe behaviours, policies & procedures are adhered to. Provide regular safety training to your team, keeping them informed about potential hazards in the workplace. Ensuring that first aid measures are in place and coordinating medical response in case of injuries or emergencies. Facilitating safety communication about guidelines, procedures and updates to your team Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with our relevant safety standards / protocols and risk assessments, promoting a safe working environment.

Essential Requirements



Excellent written and oral skills Microsoft Office experience 3-5 years in a Manufacturing/Production environment A strong understanding of manufacturing systems, procedures & data analysis Good knowledge of KPI setting and capture of manufacturing performance leadership Skills Collaborative mindset Coaching abilities Continuous improvement focus Problem-Solving skills Analytical skills Customer-centric approach Manufacturing management systems Inventory control experience Ability to travel Ability to work shifts Flexibility in line with business needs

Desirable Requirements:



Team Leader supervisory qualification Experience in a supervisory role Paint manufacturing or paint facility experience Previous experience of finishing/coatings Previous experience of high-value, low volume or bespoke manufacturing IOSH qualification Operator license awareness Knowledge of lean principles First aider Fire marshall
Working hours: 7.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,215.42 per year
