We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Goods-in Supervisor to oversee the efficient management of incoming goods and inventory processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring safe working procedures and practices are adhered to in order to minimise the risk to the workforce, plant and equipment and to ensure compliance with Company policy, targets, and current legislation. Ensures effective communications across all teams and the delivery of team briefs.
Execute the agreed plan or schedule whilst maintaining a high quality of work, working towards set deadlines and targets in the most efficient and productive way.
Organise and plan manning levels, ensuring effective and dynamic of resources to meet on shift.
Responsibilities
To ensure staff are working efficiently from start to finishing times
Support recognised job role procedures set out by operations manager
To ensure high safety standards are being practiced in the section
To ensure all staff are adhering to housekeeping standards
Provide training to team members where required, working to the training scheme, and ensuring safe methods of working are adhered to, in line with Company policy
Ability to identify and contain hazards
Report any departmental issues in the bi-weekly supervisor meeting
Manage daily workload and liaise with operations manager accordingly including staffing for container work, stock take and stock control
Any other tasks required by manager that are at appropriate level
The completion of stage one accident investigation forms
Supporting the Health and Safety function in the additional accident investigation stages
Completion of team member return to work interviews
Management of team member holidays
