Job Description

We are seeking a

Goods Inward Operative

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all incoming materials, components, and equipment are received, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently.

This role would suit someone with an

engineering background

, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational skills who enjoys working in a structured, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities



Receive and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and specifications Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of engineering components and materials Ensure correct labelling, storage, and traceability of goods Maintain accurate records in our stock management systems Liaise with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve discrepancies or quality concerns Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures in all warehouse activities Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline goods-inward processes

Skills & Experience Required



Previous experience in a goods inward, stores, or inspection role within an engineering/manufacturing environment Basic understanding of engineering drawings and specifications Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Competent IT skills Forklift licence (advantageous, but not essential)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,500.00 per year
