Job Purpose

To book in all incoming products against engineering descriptions, quantities, and material certificates, ensuring that all quality standards are met. Preparing and organising the parts/goods for QA Inspection. Adding continual support on improvements. Potential to grow into a Quality / Inspectors role or other area of an ever-growing business.

Primary Accountabilities

To oversee goods in and carry out booking in of all deliveries.

Control of the filing systems of all goods inwards (GRN) paperwork. Communicate the workflow of parts/goods to keep the inspection team capacity at its highest level. Communicate with Quality team colleagues in relation to items requiring checking / attention. Communicate with Purchasing in relation to over / under deliveries. General upkeep of the goods in and inspection areas. Support the business with recycling in accordance with ISO14001.
Assisting the QA inspectors where needed on inspection.

Supporting the QA manager with continuous improvement of the section.

Supporting the Packing Department.

Essential Personal Skills / Attributes

Flexibility along with a positive attitude.

A good decision maker.

Computer literate, able to use standard office software.

Creditable and able to liaise confidently/professionally with colleagues and external suppliers. Ability to motivate self and work as part of a team. Great verbal and written communication skills at all levels.

Desirable Skills / Attributes

A good working understanding of engineering / ISO standards and specifications relating to purchased and manufactured parts.

Forklift Licence.

Inspection knowledge.

Familiar with operation of manufacturing.

Experience in a light to medium engineering company working.
