We're looking for a Goods In Supervisor to help run a busy operation and lead a small team in a calm, supportive way.
This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to stay level-headed under pressure, think clearly, and lead from the floor.
What the role involves
You'll oversee the day-to-day running of Goods In, ensuring deliveries are booked in accurately, issues are dealt with properly, and standards on the floor are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
Leading and supporting the Goods In team
Managing rotas around delivery schedules and workload
Carrying out regular floor walks to maintain standards and generate tasks
Working with Accounts to resolve discrepancies, including physical checks when required
Identifying root causes of issues and putting effective fixes in place
Improving processes and making better use of warehouse space
Liaising with suppliers to manage bulk and complex deliveries
Stepping in on the floor to meet key cut-off times
Training new starters and maintaining consistent standards
Coordinating stocktakes with the Warehouse Manager
Ensuring stock accuracy and correct system locations
Monitoring health and safety, raising issues early and ensuring PPE compliance
Supporting Despatch on a 1-in-4 weekend rota and occasional late shifts
Supporting other warehouse areas when required
This is a full-time role contracted to 40 hours per week.
Working days and daily hours vary based on delivery schedules and operational demand. Start times may be as early as
7am
.

Experience & skills
Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
Strong Goods In experience and confidence using a WMS with high attention to detail
Comfortable working at height (high-level picker training provided)
Forklift experience (counterbalance preferred; training can be provided)
Good understanding of warehouse health & safety standards
