The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to join our busy Logistics Team at our Sefter site.


Applications are invited from suitably skilled individuals who can demonstrate experience and knowledge in a similar role and working environment. Duties will include supervising a team of warehouse operatives across the shift, to ensure all tasks are completed and delivered in an accurate, efficient, timely and safe manner. With a methodical and structured approach, candidates will be capable of prioritising tasks and coordinating daily activates whilst remaining operationally hands on role.


As a strong communicator, candidates will also provide operational cover for the Shift Manager, whilst also assisting with performance management and team training when required.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure safe transfer / locating of finished products to despatch from production to designated drop zones. Ensure safe transfer / locating of raw material movement Support operators to ensure skills and training are in place to support duties and responsibilities. Direct team members to follow SOP's and use allocated resources to deliver outputs as determined by the logistics plan Conduct regular team briefings Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties To maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas To support shift operations providing cover if required

Requirements

Skills & Experience

Experience of working in a FMCG / Fresh food warehousing/logistics environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Previous supervisory or team management experience CIEH Manual Handling Level 2 CIEH Food Safety Level 2 Forklift / Counter Balance Licence English Level 3 (Preferred) Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a targeted environment
