Henry Royce Institute

, the UK's national centre for advanced materials research, is seeking a

Governance Administrator

to help drive excellence at the heart of our governance and leadership structures.


Based at the University of Manchester, this dynamic role offers the opportunity to contribute to a thriving research ecosystem with real-world impact from sustainable energy solutions to next-generation manufacturing and medicine.


You'll provide high-quality support to our Boards, Committees, and Executive Leadership Team coordinating meetings, preparing documents, maintaining records, and handling key governance activities. You'll also work closely with internal teams and external partners, playing a pivotal role in maintaining professional, efficient governance operations.

We're looking for someone with:



Experience of supporting boards/ committees Excellent organisation and communication skills A keen eye for detail Confidence in managing sensitive information Proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment

Experience in higher education, research, or governance is a plus.
