The purpose of the role



As a Governance and Oversight Analyst, you will support the Head of Governance and Oversight in delivering operational resilience and strategic insight across Operational Planning and Performance. You'll also drive adherence of governance frameworks, performance reporting, target setting, casework tools and decision-making structures that underpin service excellence. You'll contribute to the development and maintenance of frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and decision-making processes that help drive service excellence and operational efficiency.


You'll support the analysis of data, preparation of reports, and documentation of governance processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, a collaborative approach, and a passion for improving organisational performance through structured oversight and creative problem-solving.


What you'll do



With your experience of working in an analytical or governance-focused role within a complex organisation, you will have familiarity with governance frameworks and performance management processes. You'll be a logical and analytical thinker with the ability to navigate ambiguity to solve problems and deliver outcomes.


Key responsibilities



Supporting the Governance and Oversight team in delivering governance and oversight activities across Operational Planning and Performance. Helping to prepare and maintain documentation such as RACIs, process maps, and oversight frameworks. Use data to ask insightful questions, solve problems, and deliver results in ambiguous contexts. Present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including customers and colleagues. Contribute to creative thinking and explore new ways to complete tasks and improve processes. Supporting the implementation of performance-based incentive schemes. Helping to govern individual target setting frameworks and providing assurance and oversight on performance targets and casework tools. Working with Quality Advisers to implement continuous improvement in quality processes. Building effective relationships across operational teams and supporting stakeholder
To be considered for this role, you'll need to show us that you've got the skills and capabilities. You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria:

Minimum criteria



Previous experience in a data analysis role, and ideally working with governance frameworks and performance management processes within a complex organisation. Skilled at leveraging user insights to drive impactful deliverables Proven ability to analyse complex data, extract meaningful insights, and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences. Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, including navigating ambiguity to deliver outcomes and improve processes Ability to manage multiple priorities, work at pace, and maintain high attention to detail in documentation and reporting. Proficiency in using data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
