Join Our Team as a Casual Part-Time Governing Body Clerk


Salary: Grade 4 / Spinal Point 15 -- 16.75 per hour



Contract Type: Zero-hours (asking for a minimum commitment of 8 meetings per term)

Working Pattern


Meetings are primarily held in the evenings and take place either virtually or in schools across Havering and neighbouring boroughs. You'll need reliable internet access and a suitable IT device, as well as the flexibility to travel and adapt to varying schedules.


What You'll Do


As a Governing Body Clerk, you'll:


Provide clear advice on governance regulations and procedures during meetings Take accurate notes and produce high-quality minutes Work to tight deadlines with precision and professionalism
Minute-taking experience is desirable, but not essential -- full training will be provided. What matters most is your attention to detail, commitment to confidentiality, and a genuine interest in education.

The number, frequency, and location of meetings will be tailored to suit successful candidates Interviews will be held at the Town Hall, Romford The selection process includes a short minute-taking exercise and a panel interview (date to be confirmed)
