Taurus Healthcare are advertising this position on behalf of Wargrave House Surgery

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated GP with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join us under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). To be eligible for this role, you must not be beyond the second anniversary of your certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment and not previously held a post as a GP.

This is a great opportunity to deliver high-quality, holistic care to patients within a supportive and forward-thinking team. Care will be provided via face-to-face/telephone or digital consultation, depending on patient needs and clinical appropriateness.

This role is for 4- 6 sessions per week

This is a temporary position until March 2026. There is a possibility of extension, subject to the availability of funding and the calibre of the successful candidate

Main duties of the job



Provide clinical care to patients, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, audits and quality improvement activities Visiting patients at home and in nursing homes Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence as required Clinical administration

Job responsibilities



Due to the introduction of the ARRS GP role into the Primary Care Network DES, Wargrave House Surgery are pleased to be advertising for a Newly Qualified GP to join the practice.

Main duties of the job



The GP will undertake a variety of duties to include -

Face to face-telephone or digital consultations Visiting patients at home and in nursing homes Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence as required Clinical administration

Job Responsibilities



To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate. Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols as well as wider guidance such as that from NICE. Ensure appropriate follow up of patients. Record clear and contemporaneous computerised consultation notes to agreed standards. Participate in clinical audits, and learning event analyses and practice meetings. Prescribe generically whenever appropriately and in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary, NICE guidance and Good Prescribing Practice (as defined by British National Formulary guidance)
