Job Description

The locum GP will provide high-quality medical care to our patient population, in line with the GMS contract, practice policies, and clinical guidelines. Responsibilities include: Working as agreed within the practice timetable. Managing long-term conditions and providing safe, effective care. Prescribing in line with local and national guidance.

Completing administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other associated duties. Participating in telephone triage and duty doctor rotas. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date clinical records. Collaborating with the team and sharing the practice workload.

Supporting QOF requirements and recording information accurately. Offering health promotion advice where appropriate. Attending and contributing to practice meetings, clinical governance, audits, and training. Teaching and supervising medical students and GP registrars.

Participating in appraisal, revalidation, and continuous professional development. Upholding practice protocols, policies, and strategic aims, while fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
