Locum GP Pharmacy Technician - GP Surgery - Hampshire
Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum GP Pharmacy Technician to join a GP surgery in Hampshire!
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hampshire (GP Surgery)
Contract: Ongoing
Hours: 3, 4, or 5 days per week - candidate can select preferred days
Rate: 17 - 21 per hour (dependent on experience, paid weekly)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a GP-based Pharmacy Technician, you will:
Support safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the practice and wider PCN
Conduct medication reviews and post-discharge medication reconciliations
Manage repeat prescription requests and ensure compliance with protocols
Provide medication-related advice to patients and healthcare professionals
Optimise repeat dispensing systems to improve patient access and reduce GP workload
Assist with clinical audits and medicines safety projects
Monitor and manage high-risk medication processes and QOF compliance
Update and maintain accurate patient records using GP clinical systems
Requirements
Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
Minimum 1 year of experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting
Experience with EMIS and SystemOne desirable
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills
