Job Overview



As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. You will work within a busy and dynamic reception team to deliver a high-quality and professional front-line service in line with practice policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities



Reception Duties



Greet patients and visitors warmly and respond to enquiries efficiently. Manage appointments using

System One

Guide new and temporary patients through registration procedures. Take payments as required and issue receipts. Handle incoming and outgoing post. Open and close the premises when Rota requires. Assist with general admin tasks including photocopying, printing, and document handling.

Telephone Duties



Answer and manage incoming calls promptly and professionally.

Administrative & Specific Duties



Process repeat and acute prescription requests. Complete daily Pathlink allocation, process emails, and manage uncollected scripts. Perform monthly script returns and manage script records. Order stationery and printer supplies. (Bradninch site only) Manage prescription payments and handouts.

Desirable Skills & Experience



Previous customer service experience (essential) Experience in a medical or NHS setting (desirable but not essential - full training provided) Familiarity with

System One

(desirable)

Additional Information



You must be able to work at our

main site in Cullompton

and provide cover at our

branch sites

when required. Hours available include a mix of

early mornings and late finishes

, shared fairly across the team. On-the-job training and mentoring included.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
