We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Handle correspondence, including emails and clinical letters
Respond to needs of the doctors and nurses during surgery
Input and extract information from the Practice computer system
Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions and raising prescriptions as per practice protocols
Always observe health and safety guidelines
Always observe Confidentiality policy and guidelines
Opening up / locking up of practice premises (where required) and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
Qualifications
Experience of dealing with the public and providing outstanding customer service is essential
Excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also essential
NHS experience is desirable, along with knowledge of systmOne. However, full training will be given
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
A professional demeanour with a customer-focused attitude
The ability to cover planned absences would be required
