Job Description

The Spinney Surgery are looking for a GP receptionist to join their friendly team.

The position is part time (roughly 27 hours per week) must be available on Mondays and Fridays

There will also be the potential for additional hours on a rota basis for sickness and holidays.

The main duties of a GP Receptionist at the Spinney Surgery are:-

1. Deal with enquiries either in person or on the telephone from
patients or other health organisations.
2. Filing, relaying of messages, notes and telephone calls.
3. A variety of administrative tasks, some utilising our computer
system and some manually.
4. There are other tasks such as photocopying, scanning and other
administrative tasks. 5. Make appointments on our computerised appointments system (Systmone).

Candidate

Ideal candidates will be experienced in general practice reception skills, but training will be provided. It is important that the successful candidate has had experience of dealing with the general public. Keyboard/computer skills are essential to this post.

Additional Information

As mentioned, additional hours will be allocated for holidays and sickness cover with as much notice as possible so that the individual can make appropriate arrangements.
The offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references, DBS Check and a
mutual probationary period of 6 months.

If the successful candidate is a patient of the practice, they will be required to
register with a different GP Practice as part of the offer of employment.
