Job Summary



Copsewood Medical Centre is looking for an individual with a good knowledge of Windows/IT skills, be able to navigate computer systems and be forward thinking. The Practice uses EMIS medical system, Accrux, Docman, etc.

Experience is desirable and training will be given and monitored.

Working Hours 1.00 to 6.30pm and Monday to Friday (27.5 hours)

(Additional hours to help with emergency/holiday cover when required)

We are looking for someone who can work in a busy environment, greet and welcome patients in a friendly manner either face to face or on the telephone and be able to carry out various reception administrative duties.

Offer general assistance and make appropriate appointments by directing and navigating patients by accessing the most suitable service for their healthcare in a professional, effective and friendly manner.

Give information to patients including test results and details of services.

Communicate effectively with patients and all members of the Practice Team.

Be very organised and detailed oriented and resolve daily matters with a positive workload. Deal with requests and queries from patients and other providers by face to face, telephone and online. Ensure Practice standards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of total care to all who encounter the services provided by the Practice. You may be asked by a Clinicians to do chaperoning occasionally, training will be given for this.

Data checking patients address, telephone numbers/emails/etc., are all in order and updating records as and when required.

Deal with patients who wish to register with the Practice in person and on-line and Temporary Residents. Process repeat prescriptions. Photocopy, scan medical letters and reports.

Ensure building security, opening/closing premises, knowledge of the alarm promoting high standards and acting immediately on hazards and security. Candidates to be flexible in their working pattern, multi-tasking, friendly and be a team player.

Desirable



Previous experience of working in a GP Practice or nhs environment would be desirable. Full training would be given to right candidate.

Experience



Windows and Microsoft applications are essential for the role.

Have an excellent telephone manner with strong communication skills.

Excellent organisational abilities and be able to manage multiple tasks.

Strong and competent typing skills and checking data.

Be able to work in a Team. Be willing to undertake regular training and adapt to nhs changes. Show a positive attitude and be willing to help everyone.

About Us



Copsewood Medical Centre CV2 5NB is located off Binley Road and is part of the Sowe Valley Primary Network group. We are a small friendly Practice with approximately 5500 patients, and we are also a training practice for GP Registrars. There are 3 Doctors working at the Practice, 4 GP Registrars, 2 Practice Nurses, GPA, Paramedic, Clinical Pharmacist and a Physio as well as the Admin Team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 17,339.16-24,362.55 per year

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
