Practice Plus Group, Plymouth is looking for a Private GP with a Specialist Interest in Gynaecology (GPwSI) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced GP to develop further. As a Gynaecology GPwSI, you will be providing predominantly face to face consultation in our hospital, based close to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth and undertaking minor gynaecology procedures.
This role will be part-time initially/ 20 hours per week with no on call commitment.
What you'll be doing
The post holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including: * Telephone/virtual consultations, referrals, advice and guidance and queries.

• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
• Providing counselling and health education.
• Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
• Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards using the agreed electronic clinical systems.

What we'll look for in you
Experience -Essential

• Demonstrated specialist experience working in Womens Health/ Gynaecology previously
• Competent in performing gynaecological assessments and Minor procedure
• Experience in service development

Personal Qualities -Essential

• Organisational and IT skills
• Ability to implement change
• Leadership skills
• Communication Skills

Qualifications -Essential

• MBBS/MBCHB
• MRCGP
• Registered on the GMC Specialist Register
• Higher Degree (PhD, MD)
• Past specialist registrar training in Gynaecology
• BMS Management of /menopause or Advanced Certificate in Menopause BMS/FSRH equivalent
• DSFRH+LoC SDI/IUD
• DRCOG

Skills and Knowledge -Essential

• Experience of Audit
• Active involvement in delivering womens health education
• Satisfactory GP Appraisal +/- Revalidation as per GMC
