About the Role
As a Grab Driver, you will:
Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to various locations in a timely manner.
Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment.
Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service.
Communicate effectively with you line management and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently.
Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor's attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.
Experience and Qualifications: (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
Full UK driving license, Class 2 license, CPCS Lorry -Loader (Required)
Up to date driver CPC and Digi Tacho (Required)
NPORS
Banksman
Manual Handling
Emergency First Aid
NRSWA
EUSR National Water Hygiene
Asbestos Awareness
CPC Driver Training (HGV only)
Slinger and Signaller
Abrasive Wheels
Civils experience on wastewater
Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
