Job Title:

Grade 4 Production Supervisor

Reports to:

Production Manager / Production Shift Manager

Role Overview:



As a Grade 4 Production Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of a production line manufacturing a diverse range of hair and skincare products. Your role ensures adherence to

quality, health & safety standards

and compliance, in line with company policies and procedures while maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



Health & Safety & Compliance:



Ensure a

clean, safe, and organized

working environment. Maintain and enforce

Health & Safety standards

, reporting any near misses or hazards. Ensure all machinery safety guards are functional and in place, completing necessary documentation.

Production & Quality Assurance:



Take full responsibility for the

quality

of products produced under your supervision. Oversee

weight checks

per average fill legislation and promptly address any discrepancies. Organise & monitor

attribute checks

to meet customer standards, resolving non-conformities immediately. Ensure the team is familiar with

product specifications and potential risks

before production begins. Take full responsibility for the performance of your line, being aware of your KPIs and actively trying to improve them, pushing to score strongly in the Supervisor monthly scorecard Monitor

line efficiency

, ensuring a minimum of 85%. Any shortfall must be reported immediately. Ensure all

data collection, record-keeping, and documentation

are completed accurately.

Problem Solving:



Effectively respond to issues stopping or slowing your line by communicating with relevant departments to make fixes

Take ownership of problems and proactively try to fix before issues escalate

Show structured approach with dealing with problems and role modelling calm and in control behaviours

Team Leadership & Performance Management:



Resource management, continuous monitoring of staff numbers and performance. Effectively

manage, motivate, and support

production staff. Provide

feedback, coaching, and training

to ensure team competency. Monitor and report

production output

against set targets, investigating and resolving issues proactively. Foster a

collaborative and positive work environment

Operational Excellence & Flexibility:



Ensure adherence to the

daily production plan

to meet business demands. Work closely with

engineers and line setters

to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance. Be flexible to work

overtime or shift swaps

with reasonable notice (typically five business days) to support business needs. Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the

Required Skills & Experience:



2+ years of experience

in a

manufacturing/production

environment (FMCG preferred). Proven

leadership and team management

experience. Strong awareness of

Health & Safety regulations

. Proactive and

solution-oriented

approach. Excellent

communication and organizational skills

. High

attention to detail

and ability to work in a

fast-paced environment

.
