How you'll make an impact

As a Graduate Catastrophe Modeller, you will be immersed in a close-knit team in all aspects of front line modelling for our insurance clients from early in your career, including:

Mastering cutting-edge catastrophe models and platforms, such as Gallagher Re's own bespoke solutions and those from Moody's RMS, Verisk and others, with the aim of providing unparalleled insights and decision-making capabilities to our clients Conducting meticulous analysis and crafting captivating reports to impress clients & prospects during meetings and pitches Ensuring data accuracy and reliability through rigorous auditing and cleansing processes Unravelling hidden insights by conducting in-depth analysis of modelled outputs Providing real-time reporting and conducting in-depth analysis of natural disasters, while supporting clients in the aftermath of such events Working closely with our top-tier actuarial and broking colleagues, and our research & model development teams around the world, to ensure a compelling View of Risk proposition

About You

Minimum 2:1 degree, ideally in mathematics, engineering, hydrology, natural sciences, geography, geo-sciences or similar.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Enthusiasm and interest to learn about Insurance, Risk and Reinsurance Analytically minded with a good aptitude for problem solving Ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels of the business Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Desire and drive to take on early responsibility Initiative and an eagerness to drive projects to a successful conclusion Willing and able to act as a team player
