Graduate Programme
Three-year graduate programme offering structured internal placements across key areas of the department, designed to build broad experience and professional confidence
Rotational structure within the Technology function, giving you a well-rounded view of operations while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to each team you join
Gain in-depth exposure to Production Unit operations, learning how chemical engineers support refinery processes and drive performance improvements
Hands-on involvement in refinery unit production, including monitoring unit performance, analysing data, and providing technical recommendations to optimise output
Programme is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), ensuring high standards of professional development and industry recognition
You'll be assigned an IChemE Chartered mentor from the Technology team to guide your progress and support your journey toward Chartered Status
Understand the complete process life cycle of our products, from raw materials to final output, gaining valuable insight into industrial-scale chemical engineering

About You
Graduate in Chemical Engineering with a minimum 2:1 classification
Highly driven, dedicated, and focused individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and professional development within Essar
Excellent literacy skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Confident communicators, capable of expressing ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
Comfortable presenting to a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
Resilient and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take ownership of tasks and challenges
