Graduate / Entry Level Design Engineer

MSA Foams is a bespoke manufacturer of foam components specialising in high-quality, custom solutions for diverse industrial and commercial applications.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 2D and/or 3D CAD experience, a passion for product design, and an eagerness to learn in a hands-on engineering environment. You'll work under the mentorship of an experienced Design Engineer, gaining end-to-end exposure from concept through to production. We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude who's ready to grow with the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop both 2D and 3D product designs and detailed technical drawings, considering Customer SPEC, Quotations, manufacturing constraints, materials, and assembly processes Produce internal assembly instructions and supporting documentation Create visual renders and presentation materials for internal and customer use Contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions Collaborate with onsite production teams to refine designs and processes Assist in creating prototypes and samples for testing and evaluation

REQUIREMENTS

Experience using SOLIDWORKS or other 3D CAD (academic or professional) a strong advantage Apprenticeship, HND/HNC, or degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Strong communication skills A willingness to learn and adapt
