LSTC, a well-established engineering consultancy business are looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing Geotechnical team. You'll join a supportive, people-focused business that invests heavily in training, mentoring and long-term career progression.

About the role



As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality ground investigation and geotechnical design services across the UK. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects, helping shape built-environment solutions that are safe, sustainable, and technically robust.

What you will be involved in



Supporting the delivery of geotechnical inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring quality, budget and programme requirements are met Carrying out feasibility studies, desk studies, site reconnaissance and supervising site works Logging and sampling soils to British Standards Preparing both factual and interpretative ground investigation reports Developing ground models and understanding geotechnical behaviours Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring safe, efficient site operations Reviewing documentation, supporting budgets, and contributing to technical decision-making Liaising with clients and internal teams, building strong professional relationships.
This is a hands-on role where you'll rapidly develop technical competence, commercial awareness, and project-delivery skills.

What we're looking for



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or similar Ideally a member of a relevant professional institution (or working towards membership) Valid UK driving licence (or eligible equivalent)
Experience & Skills:

Understanding of relevant industry legislation and standards (BS/Euronorm) Strong analytical, numeracy and report-writing skills Ability to work across disciplines and think spatially Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS); CAD or geotechnical software experience is an advantage Ability to plan, organise and meet deadlines in a dynamic project environment A team player with a positive attitude, flexibility, and strong problem-solving ability.
