The Capital Delivery Service is seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary team of construction professionals, supporting the delivery of a wide range of projects across the Council's capital programme.

Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes/skills:
Strong creative design skills, and openness to innovation.
A good level of technical competence and construction knowledge.
Proficiency in Autodesk and NBS software, with a working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Ability to work under own initiative and within multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver co-ordinated scheme designs within budget and programme.
Experience of working with other design professionals to obtain planning and building control approvals for projects.
Experience of providing landscape comments to Development Control Officers, assessing planning application's compliance within the relevant legal frameworks and Council policies.
Excellent organisation skills.
Good standards of literacy and numeracy.
Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparation of reports.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related subject.
Eligibility for, or already working towards, the Landscape Institute's Pathway to Chartership.
Proficiency in use of AutoCAD.
Shortlisting will be carried out based on evaluation against the person specification provided in the job description.

Sheffield City Council has a strong capital construction programme with an ongoing value of approximately 200m per annum. To ensure the highest quality delivery standards are achieved, the Capital Delivery Service has been created to drive ongoing improvements in performance, quality and pace of delivery of the widely varying projects within the programme.
The Capital Delivery Service employs 100+ staff in a variety of management, technical and professional roles including an in-house multidisciplinary design team that provides design services for a wide range of construction projects.
