Quokka Education is working in partnership with an Outstanding SEN school near Eastleigh, Hampshire, who are looking for a Graduate Literacy Support Assistant to join their primary phase literacy team. This is a full-time position, to start as soon as possible.

The Role

You'll deliver focused 1:1 literacy support to pupils in Key Stage 2 (primary phase) - helping them to improve their reading, writing, and comprehension skills while building trust, motivation, and self-esteem.

You don't need to be an experienced TA - just someone who's passionate about helping children learn.
Experience supporting or mentoring young people (in schools, tutoring, youth work, or volunteering) is a big advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.

Full training and ongoing guidance are provided.

The School

This Outstanding special school supports boys aged 10-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Many pupils also have additional diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, and dyslexia.

The school follows the National Curriculum with a strong focus on practical learning and enrichment - from sailing, cycling, and canoeing to climbing, sport, and creative workshops with visiting artists, theatre companies, and authors.

Role: Graduate Literacy Support Assistant (Primary Phase)
Start: Immediate
Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity - Weekly pay
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Pay: 18,515 pro rata / 95 per day
