Job Description

A renowned specialist manufacturer of bespoke designed automated, anti terror security, gating, perimeter fencing, automated gates, kerbs, bollards, turnstyles for a number of UK prestigious sites, airports, data centres, utility, MOD sites, government, rail, infrastructure, arenas, public spaces, etc...Seeking an intelligent Mechanical Graduate looking for a rewarding and challenging career. Training and mentoring will be provided.

Production:

- Going through drawings & BOMs to order materials, profile, machining, etc...

- Liaising with factory departments, issuing works orders

- Communicating between office departments, design, project management and purchasing.

- Keeping up to date with factory machinery maintenance & servicing

- Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to in the factory, updating procedures via toolbox talks

- Making sure waste is stored and disposed of appropriately

- Overseeing repairs projects, weekly meetings with repairs team updating them on progress

Weekly fire alarm testing, monthly fire route inspections

- Upkeep for factory training and certificates, making sure everyone has necessary training dependant on their department

Transport:

- Plan the movements of our trucks to meet requirements of the project managers

- Plan delivering / collecting goods from subcontractors

- Communicating daily with the drivers regarding their work for the week, any issues with the trucks, issues on site

- General maintenance of the trucks, servicing, mot, breakdowns, tyres

- Making sure lifting equipment is in date, hiabs, slings, lifting

- Arrange nights work/ hotels for drivers on long trips

- Planning the loads of the trucks, making sure we are within the weight and dimension limits of the law

- providing quotes for transport for our sales team, UK & overseasWorking with project managers regarding lifting plans on site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
