Starting Salary: 30,000
Location: Manchester

Working hours per week: 40 Monday - Friday

About the Team





Amey is working with a number of high-profile infrastructure clients such as Thames Tideway, TfGM, High Speed 1 and Transport for Wales, focussing on their existing ageing operational technology assets and systems. As part of the Analytics & Advisory OpTech team you will work with our clients to support their renewals schemes from requirements gathering, to design optioneering through to full system implementation and roll-out. No two projects are alike; reflecting the bespoke needs of our various client bases whilst ensuring best-practice engineering principles.




What you'll be doing



As an Operational Technology Graduate, you will be based out of our Manchester Consulting hub working on a variety of different projects dependent upon your previous knowledge and area of interest. The role could cover any of the following;


Survey existing assets and infrastructure to understand and document renewal requirements Develop comms network designs covering switch, firewall and network layering architectures Identify and evaluate equipment options for off the shelf technology components to integrate into a wider system design Develop appropriate cyber security policies and procedures for system renewals or in response to threat identification Support installation and commissioning of technology assets and systems in a live operational environment.

Degree at Grade 2:1 or above in any of the following. Mathematics, Physics, Electrical/ Electronic, Network, Telecommunications, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science
