About the Role

At James Hall & Co., we're offering a unique and exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our Health & Safety Team and build a long-term career in a critical area of our business.



As a Graduate Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of our diverse operation including Retail, Logistics, Manufacturing, Production and Head Office functions. You'll learn how workplace safety is managed across multiple industries while working alongside experienced professionals, with full support to complete industry-recognised qualifications that will develop your expertise.



We welcome applications from a wide range of degree disciplines. Whether you've studied Business Management, Law, Environmental Science, Human Resources, Public Health or something else, what matters most is your desire to learn and build a career in this important field.

As part of your development, you will:

Complete the IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH General Certificate within your first 12 months Be encouraged and supported to continue your professional development beyond this

These qualifications will equip you with in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, risk management, hazard control, accident and incident investigations and how to foster a strong safety culture across varied working environments.



Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

Support and carry out workplace inspections and risk assessments Contribute to improving health and safety policies and procedures across the organisation Help ensure legal compliance and keep up to date with current legislation Assist with accident, incident investigations and reporting Gather and analyse safety data to improve and develop a great safety culture Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions Carry out audits and inspections across the organisation Promote a positive safety culture by working closely with teams across the business Receive ongoing mentoring and support from experienced H&S professionals
