Tracey Concrete is a concrete manufacturing company supplying ready mix and precast concrete products throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, and Canada. Products manufactured include Jacking pipes, spigot & socket pipes, manhole chambers, cover slabs, caisson rings, preformed bases & cattle slats.

ROLE OVERVIEW:



We are looking for a graduate quality engineer to join our fast-growing team

.

This role will have responsibility for ensuring quality standards on our processes are upheld for precast concrete products, ready-mixed concrete, quarry products and aggregates.

The successful candidate will assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day to day activities on implementing quality processes throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. They are also responsible for concrete mix design, aggregate compliance and testing, concrete testing, precast product testing, compliance with relevant British standards and third-party certifications such as BSI Kitemarks, ISO 9001 and CPC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



To assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation including Quality Management Plans & Inspection and Test Plans. To support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and important information is understood and operated by all employees. To assist in monitoring compliance of products with standards and relevant documentation. To assist in carrying out reports for the senior Quality team. To support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits. To advise on quality requirements and best practice, promoting a continuous improvement culture across the site team and Innovation. To promote customer requirements throughout the business. To sample and test aggregates, fresh concrete, hardened concrete and finished product. To collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions. To assist in managing the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. To maintain accurate records of quality control checks, test results, and any corrective actions taken.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:



Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Quality Management, Concrete Technology or equivalent. Knowledge in Concrete materials and concrete mix design. Knowledge in testing fresh and hardened concrete. Knowledge in aggregates/minerals processing and testing. Knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing processes. Knowledge of concrete batching systems and batching control systems. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Strong communication and organisation skills. Microsoft Office skills. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
