Graduate Restoration Engineer - Cardiff (On-site, 25,000 per annum)

This role is based full-time in our Cardiff office, so you'll need to be living in (or able to commute daily to) Cardiff. Please note: visa sponsorship is not available.
What you'll be doing
As a Graduate Restoration Engineer, you'll play a key role in data restoration projects, working with enterprise-level systems and technologies. You'll:
Get hands-on with tape restoration projects and specialist equipment.
Configure systems, hardware and networks across Windows and Linux environments.
Develop documentation and processes that support global operations.
Support the team with software development and restoration processes.
Occasionally take part in out-of-hours or travel-based projects, giving you exposure to varied work.
What we're looking for
A degree or HND in Computing (or equivalent).
A solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems - from installing operating systems to configuring networks and RAID systems.
Some experience with basic SQL queries.
An interest or ability in scripting (Perl, Bash, VB, or Python).
A practical approach - including building cables and setting up hardware.
Nice to have (but not essential)
If you've dabbled in these areas before, even better - but we'll help you learn on the job:
Backup-to-tape software (e.g. TSM, BackupExec, Arcserve, Netbackup).
Advanced SQL.
Tape library or tape drive configuration.
Using Microsoft Visio for documentation.
