Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Burnley)
Pay: 13.75 per hour
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2025
A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Burnley is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates who are passionate about inclusive education and want to gain meaningful experience supporting students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of additional needs.
Work closely with the school's SEN team and teaching staff to implement support strategies.
Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence in and out of the classroom.
Help to adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
Support the emotional and social development of pupils.

Requirements:

Must hold a Bachelor's degree.
A strong interest in SEN and inclusive education.
Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students.
Any experience in a school or care setting is beneficial but not essential.
