Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic

Sports Assistant

to join our team of dynamic educators. Could that be you?

This role would suit a recent graduate in Sports Coaching, Sports Science, or related degree, with an interest in pursuing a career in the education or sports sector. We are committed to staff professional development so there will be opportunities to develop teaching practice, receive training and undertake sport specific qualifications. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver over a range of school sports and will take responsibility for a sports team, including weekend fixtures in each term.

: Mon to Fri, 815am to 430pm, Term Time Only

To support the department's extensive extra-curricular programme of sporting activities. Expertise in rugby is essential, whilst football, hockey and cricket are desirable. Take responsibility for games lessons, practices and matches, working with pupils from Year 7 to Upper Sixth Assist in various day-to-day administration duties within the department, including organising sports fixtures. Teach, coach, lead and supervise the extracurricular programme for the department. Assist at Home and Away sports fixtures. Assist with the organisation of inter-house competitions and Experience Days. Provide First Aid assistance as necessary.

About you :

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience coaching in a similar role. Is a qualified First Aid trainer (essential). Has a passion for sports and a desire to promote health and fitness. Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical activities, with the ability to teach and coach effectively. Is enthusiastic and reliable.
