We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate engineer with a strong interest in problem-solving and innovation.
In this role, you will contribute to the structural design and analysis of buildings and other structures using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with architects, contractors and other engineers on a wide range of interesting projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and deepen your knowledge in the field of structural engineering.
Responsibilities
Preparation of detailed design drawings and calculations for a range of projects throughout the residential and commercial sectors, under the supervision of senior engineers.
Contributing to the preparation of project reviews, fee proposals, and tender documentation.
Performing site inspections of existing buildings and tracking construction progress of projects under construction.
Assisting with the preparation of structural reports, project delivery, budgeting and communication with clients.
Collaborating with experienced professionals to expand technical skills and support professional growth.
Developing strong relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams to support business growth.
Participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities to support long-term career advancement.
Requirements
A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng).
Enthusiasm for structural design and analysis, with foundational knowledge of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
Strong communication skills--written, verbal, and presentation--with excellent attention to detail.
Basic understanding of structural engineering principles, standard practices, techniques, and procedures.
A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tekla TEDDs, AutoCAD or Revit) is advantageous, though not essential.
