We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Engineering Graduates to join our team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and work with experienced qualified engineers and professionals within an inspirational environment to support our Sustainability team across a wide range of energy, carbon and built environment sustainability fields.
You will start your journey on our Graduate Training Scheme, where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop with the support of a mentor. Our structured training programme covers practical experience with internal training, CPDs and external training courses. You will be supported and coached by your mentor and line manager and work within a team environment alongside Design and Senior Engineers.
Your learning will be "hands on" both in the office and on site. Once you have completed the training scheme, you will progress to Design Engineer and be working towards eventually managing and leading your own projects. You will be encouraged to become a chartered engineer through an accredited institution such as CIBSE, IMechE or IET; we cover the cost of your professional membership.
The role is both exciting and varied as every day will be different. You will be supporting our design teams across our 7 regional offices, on design evaluation and analysis across all industry sectors. Our teams undertake the development of net zero carbon energy strategies, undertaking operational energy and carbon studies as well as thermal comfort, daylight and air quality analysis. You will be supported to undertake further training and development to enhance your current skills and knowledge and encouraged to achieve recognised qualifications such as BREEAM Assessor.
You will have attained or will be due to graduate with a degree in Energy & Sustainability/Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant engineering subject and have a specific interest in building energy analysis, building physics modelling and sustainability issues.
