About our Graduate Programme
To support you in the first year of the role, you'll take part in Praetura's development programme; Summit.
Summit provides vital skills for a career in Financial Services along with developing a great network with other Graduates across the group. You'll have the opportunity to complete a professional qualification, as well as take part in other internal and external coaching and training sessions to support your professional development.

The Role
The Graduate Underwriter role would suit a graduate who has strong attention to detail. This role also involves building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, so great interpersonal skills are crucial.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Underwrite credit applications with skill and judgement and within devolved powers to maximise business opportunities with the minimum level of risk.
Observe underwriting and monitoring of business introducer applications/relationships to ensure that the integrity and quality of third-party introducers and business that they introduce, meets with underwriting policy objectives.
Train and develop your skills within the team so that you are able to develop and achieve quality and service standards in keeping with departmental objectives.
Liaise with credit team on issues of default, fraud and documentation to ensure that company funds are safeguarded and risks minimised.
Keep up to date with market and portfolio trends, products, economy, introducer base by completing training and development tasks set by line manager
Observe and support in the completion of the control of credit facility reviews and ensure that they are processed on scheduled dates and in a timely manner.
Undertake such tasks as may be necessary from time to time or as delegated by members of the management team.
