Overview:

We are looking for a Graduate/Junior Designer with strong skills in graphic design and illustration. This role is suited to someone with a sharp visual eye, technical ability, and a clear passion for streetwear culture and contemporary design. You'll play a key role in developing original artwork, garment graphics, branding assets, and visual content that sits across our collections, collaborations, and campaigns.

Whilst you will be supporting the design manager with developing seasonal collections and capsule ranges - so product development skills are essential, your core output will be illustration, graphic-led design, and brand storytelling through visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design original graphics, prints, illustrations, and branding applications for apparel and accessories Create bold, expressive visual content that reflects MKI's aesthetic and values Produce detailed and accurate CADs and artwork files for production Work with mood boards, references, and concept directions to bring ideas to life Contribute to seasonal collections, limited drops, and special projects Collaborate with senior designers, marketing, and production teams to ensure visual consistency across all outputs In addition to this, you will support the wider team with label design, packaging graphics, and in-store visuals

Requirements:

Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fashion design or a related creative field Must have a good eye for and a solid interest in men's contemporary fashion. A standout portfolio showcasing strong graphic examples, illustration, and typographic ability Strong capability across Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills Technical understanding of garment graphics, printing techniques, embroidery and placement A deep understanding and commitment of visual trends within streetwear, fashion, and culture Ability to manage multiple briefs, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively

Desirable:

Desire to work in a fast-paced fashion industry Familiarity with garment construction and tech packs Additional skills in motion graphics, animation, or 3D software would be a bonus

Considerations

This role would suit someone who is graduating this year or graduated in 2024/1 year into their career. You will be based in Bingley, West Yorkshire at our HQ full-time, therefore being local to Leeds/West Yorkshire or a wiliness to locate, would be preferable.
