Metricell is on a mission to revolutionise connectivity. We partner with telecommunications companies to design, deliver, and manage wireless communication networks, all with a shared goal of achieving flawless network experiences.
For nearly twenty years, we have been at the forefront of network connectivity, providing innovative solutions that empower governments, network operators, and blue-chip businesses worldwide to become 'better connected'. More recently, we have pioneered the use of Artificial Intelligence to develop and enhance our tools.
About the role
We're looking for a
Graduate Software Developer
with a
strong
IT foundation
who is keen to apply and develop their skills in a practical, real-world environment. This is a
hands-on, in-house role
where you'll work closely with our development, QA and operations teams to build, deploy and support robust internal and customer-facing applications.
Unlike roles that are purely development- or cloud-focused, this position provides valuable exposure to
in-house systems, servers, and networks
, helping you build a well-rounded understanding of how software operates in production environments. You will work closely with experienced developers, QA, and operations colleagues to build reliable, maintainable solutions, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance and stability.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential. You will be encouraged to take ownership of tasks, contribute ideas, and develop your technical capability through hands-on experience, mentoring, and continuous learning. This role is well suited to a graduate who enjoys understanding how software works end-to-end -- from code through to deployment and operation -- and who is motivated to learn, take ownership, and grow into a well-rounded software professional.
We envisage a strong graduate with an IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree, ideally with a placement year or demonstrable practical experience.
Personal projects, internships, or part-time roles that show an interest in software development, systems or DevOps-style practices will be highly valued.
