Job Description

Signs Base is currently looking to offer a position in our design team to a motivated individual who wishes to go forward within a rapidly expanding sign and graphics company.

This full-time, permanent role is based in our Head Office in Slough, approximately 15 minutes walk from the Train Station.

Your Responsibilities

Create new designs and artworks following design briefs and respecting the requirement for different print and digital formats Take projects from initial layout through proof checking and approval and final pre-press process, under supervision Checking if artworks are accurate and spell checked before publishing under supervision of the Head of Design, Explaining the rationale behind designs to the head of design and clients Maintaining clean workspace and supporting senior staff and management in their everyday duties Designing Marketing Materials for the company marketing team and preparing social media content for publication

Essential skills and Software

Good Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. Understanding the pre-press process and implementing artworking techniques to prepare designs for printing Image editing, including optimisation, colour correction, isolating, resizing and retouching. Typesetting/layout skills Creative design capabilities Ability to follow brand guidelines Careful and methodical, with good attention to detail Enthusiastic attitude and approach to work Good verbal and written communication skills Good time management and an organised approach to projects. Preparing print-ready files from previously designed artworks or files supplied by clients.
