Junior Graphic Designer (Immediate Start)

Role Overview

Are you a highly motivated, creative individual with a passion for design and a strong portfolio to prove it? Soup Creative is looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team immediately. This is a full-time, studio-based role where you will be instrumental in bringing our diverse range of creative projects to life. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple digital channels, working closely with our award-winning creative team in our vibrant Chester studio.

Location: Soup Studios, Chester Salary: Circa 25,000 Start Date: Immediate Contract: Full-Time, Studio-Based

Key Responsibilities

You will be a core contributor to our creative output, supporting various teams by creating high-quality, engaging design assets. Your day-to-day will involve:

Social Media Design: Creating engaging visuals for our organic social media posts and campaigns. Paid Media Support: Developing striking, performance-focused designs and visual assets to support the paid social media team. Video Content Support: Designing graphics, titles, and supporting visual elements for the video content team. Animation Support: Assisting the animation team by preparing assets, creating storyboards, and designing supporting graphics. Creative Collaboration: Working closely with the Head of Creative and the wider creative team to ensure all designs align with client briefs and brand guidelines.

What You'll Need to Succeed

This is an entry-level role, but we require a strong foundation and a hunger to learn.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Experience: A minimum of one year of professional graphic design experience (includes internships or robust freelance work). Portfolio: A full and comprehensive portfolio showcasing your best work is mandatory for application. Adobe Proficiency: Highly proficient use of the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Social Media Knowledge: A strong understanding of social media platform requirements, design trends, and best practices. Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of taking direction and presenting ideas clearly. Self-Motivation: Highly organised, self-motivated, and committed to successful project completion. Desire to Learn: A genuine desire to learn new techniques and grow rapidly within the role.
