Graphic Designer (Part-Time, 24 hrs per week)

Salary: 17,800 per annum (pro rata from 29,666 FTE)

Contract: Fixed-term with probation period and opportunity to continue.

Location: In-house, Plymouth, UK

About the Role

Different View is a Plymouth-based creative media company specialising in video production, photography, and design for the maritime and clean-tech sectors.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer with skills in website design to join our growing team on a part-time basis (three days per week).

You'll play an important role in designing visual content and assisting with website development for Different View and its clients, ensuring that each brand is represented accurately and creatively. This role is not client-facing- you'll work closely with the Different View Team, following briefs, meeting deadlines, and incorporating feedback. There's room for creative freedom within projects, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality, professional design work.

Key Responsibilities

Create professional, high-quality designs for social media, print, and digital materials. Design content for Different View and its clients, following brand guidelines and objectives. Maintain consistent visual identities across print, digital, and social platforms. Design and update websites and landing pages. Work from briefs, meeting creative objectives and deadlines. Collaborate with the creative team to develop ideas and concepts. Maintain a professional, detail-oriented approach to all work.
Essential Skills and Experience

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio. Solid understanding of branding and design consistency. Experience with WordPress and web design principles. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills. Ability to follow briefs while contributing creative input. Reliable, professional, and deadline-focused. Team player who enjoys collaborating on creative projects.
Desirable Skills (not required)

Experience with Lightroom, photography, or videography. Basic video editing or motion graphics (After Effects, animation). Familiarity with Framer, SEO, or digital campaign design. Copywriting skills.
Qualifications

BA in Graphic Design, Web Design or relevant qualification preferred. Minimum 2 years of industry experience. Outstanding portfolios may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
