Grass Football Pitch Groundskeeper is required

Due to company expansion we are seeking a Football Pitch Groundskeeper to join our growing sports department at Karl Fischer Garden Grounds and Tree Maintenance LTD.

Duties for this position :

Football Pitch maintenance of all grass playing surfaces and football pitches in South Liverpool to maintain football pitches to the standards required by the Football Authorities. Ensure all grass areas are maintained and kept to the highest possible standards and industry requirements. Undertake all grounds management duties including but not limited to verti draining cutting, mowing, line marking, aerating, devoting, fertiliser, and sand applications strimming and rotary mowing grass surfaces. Spray pitches and surfaces if necessary. Drive ride-on mowers, tractors and using all associated attachments and implements responsibly, verti-draining and multi-coring. Keep surrounding areas, equipment and storage areas maintained and tidy. Wear personal protective equipment provided, and comply with all Health and Safety guidelines, company policies and working in a manner not to cause injury or harm to yourself or others.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Landscape Maintenance Specialist. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain aesthetically pleasing and functional. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, construction, and maintenance, with the ability to operate various tools and machinery effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure gardens and outdoor spaces are well-kept. Utilise hand tools and power tools for various gardening and landscaping activities. Operate excavators and other machinery for construction-related tasks as needed. Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage across landscaped areas. Conduct routine inspections of landscape features to identify any necessary repairs or enhancements. Collaborate with team members on larger construction projects, providing support in both planning and execution phases. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques with a keen eye for detail. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and excavators safely and efficiently. Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance requirements. Background in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
