We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Greengrocer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh produce and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Greengrocer, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of our fruits and vegetables, assisting customers with their selections, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fresh produce. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the greengrocery area. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management. Ensure all products are displayed attractively and are of high quality. Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide information about various fruits and vegetables, including their origins and benefits. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.

Skills

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. A friendly disposition with good phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone. A genuine interest in fresh produce and nutrition is advantageous.
