As a Greengrocer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality fruits and vegetables while creating an inviting shopping experience. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a knack for upselling products.

Duties

Assist customers in selecting fresh produce, providing knowledgeable recommendations and advice. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the store, ensuring all products are displayed attractively. Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves as needed. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, using effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or orders. Upsell additional products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Multilingual abilities are highly desirable, particularly proficiency in English and Spanish. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with customers and colleagues. A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the shopping experience for customers. A genuine interest in fresh produce and healthy eating is advantageous.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
