Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grill Chef to join our new team at Tiger Bites Pig in Saint Pauls Market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking over fire, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Grill Chef you'll be responsible for manning the Konro BBQ during service, keeping the meat flowing to the pass and keeping your section clean and safe.

Shifts will be Wed & Thu 4-cl, Fri-Sun 11-cl and you will be guaranteed Mondays and Tuesdays off every week. Free meals on shift and 28 days holiday per year as standard. Service charge on top of salary equating to roughly 300 per month dependent on sales and is done through the TipJar app for complete control and transparency.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to menu specifications and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas. Assist with meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed including the use of a sous vide and vacuum packing machine Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods, particularly cooking over fire Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of flavour profiles and presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
