Job Description

TOASTIE QUEEN (based at Mrs Fitzherberts) are seeking 2 part-time Sandwich Grill Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a culinary background and a keen interest in food preparation and hygiene. As the Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering great meals to our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of toasties and a couple sides, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the manager. Keep the grill area clean and organised, following all health and safety regulations. Have a strong understanding of EHO requirements

Qualifications



Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation. A team player who is willing to assist others in the kitchen as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule. (We will be open Wed-Sunday)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
