Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook grilled items according to menu specifications and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas. Assist with meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as needed. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices. Conduct regular checks on inventory levels for grill-related supplies and report shortages.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with experience in a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment. Familiarity with various cooking methods, particularly grilling, is essential. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
